The role:
 
The Product Manager will develop the product proposition for the relevant product category within the business. Working with the cross-functional  team, the successful candidate will execute and lead the internal end to end developmentprocess (including marketing), focusing on ensuring that the brands, that they are responsible for,have a consistent approach and drive commercial performance, in line with sales andmarginobjectives.
 
The role has a high level of ownership and autonomy and will require energy, passionanddrivetobesuccessful
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for designated product categories, overseeing the entire product development process including supplier cost negotiation.
  • Delivery of insight led, market leading, profitable consumer products, supported by market research, gap analysis and consumer insights.
  • Execution of the development and implementation of all range strategies and values, ensuring a consistent approach is maintained across all product categories, followed by post-launch reviews.
  • Range review analysis to support range building, monitoring sales performance by sku, generating detailed range plans and launches in line with commercial selling windows.
  • Provide clear and concise proposals and cost summaries for new ranges, based on internal sales data analysis and market research.
  • Ensure close liaison with other UK business unit Product teams to co-ordinate product development and sourcing activities.
  • Working with the Category Manager to create and manage project timelines and implementation schedules/roadmaps for all new ranges.
  • Spec sheet and cost model creation and maintenance.
  • Manage the design and artwork implementation and approval process for all product and packaging including input from technical department.
  • Fixture/Carton/FSDU development – working in conjunction with the relevant team & suppliers to develop new opportunities/cost savings.
  • Ongoing communication with the Commercial & Creative teams to share NPD and gather market intelligence/feedback regarding future opportunities.
  • Trade Fair and showroom organisation planning to include visual merchandising and POS.
  • Attend trade shows to identify new opportunities & suppliers (UK and Overseas)
  • Preparing marketing material and sales pack information for the commercial team, catalogues, websites and flyers.
  • Support the product management team in their development and encourage an open, inclusive team culture.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Project management skills and the capability to efficiently operate within a multi-function team.
  • Able to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • An organised and flexible approach, with the ability to react in fast paced environment
  • A great team player, with the ability to support and lead.
  • Confident in communicating with colleagues and customers via telephone, email and face to face.
