  • Cover a small sales area for a very well established construction trade supplier
  • Inherit 180 existing customers and c£1M turnover
  • Generous basic salary + bonus + open-ended commission

 

Basic salary £35,000 - £40,000. 1% commission on all new revenue. 15% bonus for achieving target. £4,200 car allowance. Pension scheme. 25 days holiday

 

Job Description:

 

This is hybrid role, working from home and from the Bath depot. We are looking for an Area Sales Manager with experience of the construction trade to maximise the potential of this role.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Spend 4.5 days a week calling on construction trade customers in the Bath and Bristol area. This is both in offices and on-site.
  • 70% account management. 30% business development.
  • Visit the Bath depot once a week to build internal network.
  • Use your experience and skills as an Area Sales Manager to strengthen relationships while seeking sales opportunities.
  • Follow up all enquiries with quotes and negotiate where necessary to secure an order.
  • Report regularly against annual sales target.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

We welcome applications from experienced field sales professionals who have sold to builders, contractors and civil engineering customers.

 

Key requirements are:

  • At 3 years of field sales experience in the construction products sector
  • Living in the Bath / Bristol area
  • Excellent at building relationships with customers at all levels
  • A proven track record of field sales achievement and success
  • Friendly, sociable and a great team player

 

Salary/Benefits Information:

Basic salary £35,000 - £40,000. 1% commission on all new revenue. 15% bonus for achieving target. £4,200 car allowance. Pension scheme. 25 days holiday.
