The Opportunity:
Working for the renowned manufacturer Metro (part of the globally recognised Welbilt Group) we are looking to recruit a high-performing individual to work as a Key Account Manager. Driving growth of the Metro range across an established account portfolio in the UK.
This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to join this aspirational business. The role will be for a specialist, solution-led Account Manager, focused on their premium product portfolio that includes storage, transport, and workflow systems for the professional kitchen and foodservice sector.
This person will take ownership of the Metro brand in the UK, dealing with established key Welbilt group customers. The role will also involve identifying new opportunities to expand Metro’s footprint across the UK market.
You will be targeting some of the UK’s most recognisable operators including:
- Restaurant and QSR chains
- Hotels and contract caterers
Metro Products
A premium portfolio of industry-leading foodservice solutions, including:
- Modular shelving systems
- Mobile storage and transport solutions
- Heated and insulated holding cabinets
- These solutions play a critical role in helping commercial kitchens optimise space, improve workflow, and ensure food safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow the relationships with strategic key accounts across the UK
- Identify and convert opportunities to increase market share
- Engage with multiple stakeholders, including:
- Deliver consultative, solution-led sales, focused on efficiency, compliance, and cost savings.
- Build long-term partnerships and position yourself as a trusted advisor
About You
- You are a commercially driven individual looking to progress your career with a market leading group.
Ideal Background:
- Foodservice equipment, catering supplies, kitchen design or project management
- Experience managing key accounts
- Proven track record of solution sales rather than just product
- Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders across functions
- Willing to learn and high energy
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Confident presenting to senior decision-makers
- CFSP qualified
