About the Company:

  • A respected market leader within the Commercial Interiors sector, who have experienced rapid growth over the last 10 years are looking to strengthen their team with the key recruitment of an additional Account Manager within the Housebuilder sector.
  • The successful candidate will spearhead the companies expansion and strengthen their presence with national housebuilders and flooring contractors.
  • This role is pivotal in driving strategic relationships, unlocking new business opportunities, and ensuring the company remains the preferred flooring partner across the UK.

 

About the Role:

  • We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take on the challenge of penetrating various aspects of the housebuilder and developer market through key clients and specifiers that operate within the sector.
  • As the fast-growing construction market evolves at pace, your role will be to keep at the forefront of the market and new projects – spotting and leveraging opportunities to grow sales with existing products and customers and proactively creating openings to sell in products and bring new customers on board.
  • You’ll have all the tools to do the job: the broadest product range, great delivery support and top-class customer service.
  • You’ll need to leverage your potential through your customer relationship building skills, tenacity and drive to build and grow the area.

 

Specifically, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with national housebuilders and flooring contractors at HQ level, using a structured key account approach and decision-making unit matrix per customer.
  • Drive revenue through strategic account management, proactive project acquisition, and leveraging central agreements at a regional level.
  • Identify and track new project opportunities via CRM.
  • Respond to commercial customer enquiries with agility and professionalism.
  • Resolve issues by identifying root causes and communicating solutions across the business.
  • Act as the conduit between sales and planning to forecast stock requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer service to ensure sample needs are anticipated and assets are in place.
  • Compile and maintain all relevant documents, pricing, agreements, rebates, programmes, SLAs, and marketing requirements in a central, accessible location.
  • Work closely with the UK Commercial Manager to shape and execute the strategy for the national housebuilder business, ensuring customers are kept up to date with the latest products and literature.

 

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • We’re looking for a sales professional who shares our passion for the floor covering sector; its products and trends.
  • You’ll need to have the tenacity, enthusiasm and can-do attitude to take this amazing brand and build both excitement and commitment amongst customers.
  • Being out on the road means you’ll need to be self-reliant and self-motivated, but we’d like you to be a great team player too!
  • We have a strong team ethos and encourage all colleagues to work together to provide the best experience for our customers.

 

About You:

  • We’re looking for a proven sales professional who has experience within the housebuilder,  developer, local authority, housing association sector.  
  • You will have experience managing national and regional key accounts ideally within the commercial interiors sector or the building products, KBB or DIY markets.
  • You’ll need to be organised, structured and conscientious in how you approach your business planning, customer visits, reporting and follow-up activity.

 

Salary:

  • £65,000 Basic + Great Bonus, Benefits, Car
