Job Description: Sales Support Manager
- Hybrid role with 50% of your time in Newton Aycliffe.
This leadership role sits within the sales operations team of a major manufacturing business with customers throughout the UK. Your role will be to implement, drive and maximise the success of the company’s sales support function.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating sales support team tasks such as order processing, query resolution, and field sales support.
- Developing, implementing and improving sales support strategies.
- Supporting the Area Sales Managers to improve the customer experience.
- Weekly reporting to Head of Sales Operations on KPIs.
- Team welfare, recruitment, training and reviews.
- Escalation point for customer issues.

Candidate profile: Sales Support Manager
In order to establish yourself as the leader of this established team, we are looking for an experienced manager with a background in sales support or customer service – ideally in a product manufacturing or distribution setting.
Your main attributes should include:
- A proven ability to lead a successful sales support or customer service team.
- Experience in a business-to-business environment and used to dealing with an order book, stock availability, warehouse/customer liaison and invoicing.
- Someone who takes the initiative and looks for continuous improvement.
- Sufficient analytical and IT skills to prepare and present reports to management.
- Outstanding skills in teamwork and communication.
