Job Description:

Sales area: Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire plus South Wales.

Join one of the UK’s leading garden trade suppliers and inherit their top performing sales area. This vacancy has been created as a result of an internal promotion and offers you the opportunity to take a £1 million turnover area with 90 garden centre customers who are used to high levels of contact and support.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Create and follow an effective journey plan that maximises customer contact.
  • Build outstanding relationships within customers at all levels.
  • Plan all customer meetings to secure top up orders, range extensions and space wins where possible.
  • Adapt through each year to meet the opportunities for pre-season orders, terms negotiation, fixture changes, new ranges, in-season repeat orders and staff training.
  • Communicate regularly with the National Sales Manager, Key Accounts Manager and Merchandisers.
  • Report weekly against call plan and provide territory feedback.

  • Established for over 100 years and a respected supplier to the garden centre trade with a reputation for great products and high standards of customer care. The sales team operate the PixSell system for easier order processing and stock availability updates which means that you will have less admin time.  The company has long-standing staff members in all areas which is testament to their approach to their team.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • In order to maintain their excellent reputation, this company is looking for an experienced Sales Representative who has been dealing with independent retailers in this area and used to the regular call cycles that exist in FMCG selling.
  • A home location in Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire .
  • At least three years of field sales experience calling on independent retailers.
  • A structured and organised approach to field sales. Able to journey plan, time manage and adapt to the changing needs of your customers through the year.
  • You should be a strong team player and enjoy regular communication with your colleagues.
  • Excellent relationship builder at all levels.

Salary/Benefits Information:

  • The successful candidate will enjoy a basic salary of £36,000 - £38,000 + £5,000 bonus + hybrid car, company credit card, fuel card, iPad, mobile, pension and 25 days holiday.
