- You’ll take on a well established territory covering West London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.
- Forecasting annual sales and margin, setting targets for accounts and formulating a sales strategy to achieve them.
- Ownership of the sales territory performance, freedom to operate independently to achieve goals.
- Developing and building relationships with a well-established portfolio of customers including some large key accounts.
- Identifying new business opportunities or following up on leads provided by the sales office.
- Driving sales growth by identifying opportunities to for business development.
- Ensuring the achievement of short term targets and tactical promotional objectives.
- Presenting, communicating and selling to a well-established customer base.
About the Company:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive Area Sales Manager to join the UKs largest DIY & Garden products distributor.
The business distributes a wide range of DIY, gardening and housewares products to business customers including high street retailers, garden centres, and independent DIY / hardware stores across the UK.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
For this Area Sales Manager role my client is willing to look at either someone with a proven track record of sales success in developing accounts, ideally coming from the DIY or garden sector with experience selling into builders merchants and garden centres. Or they would also consider someone who is looking for their first field sales role and train them up. You will receive full system and process training and product training from leading manufacturers but a willingness to learn and the ability to pick up thing sis essential. You will work as part of a team and be confident in managing your own diary.
Salary/Benefits Information:
- The salary package for the role is £30,000 - £35,000 with excellent earning opportunities through commission and bonus OTE £6,000
- Car or car allowance + benefits
