The Role:
- The new position of Head of Outdoor has been created to provide high level strategic leadership of our outdoor products divisions that supply leading brands such as Wilkinson Sword, WOLF-Garten, Town & Country, Cub Cadet, Lawnflite and HiSun to garden centres and specialist machinery dealers throughout the UK.
- This is a fantastic opportunity for a board level, sales-led, commercial manager to lead an already successful business unit into an exciting future.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives, leveraging existing channels and customers.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing teams to maximise their potential and exceed targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to expand our reach and market share.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key suppliers, and customers to drive long-term business partnerships.
- Purchasing accurately to achieve company stock targets.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, KPIs, and financial targets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Candidate:
- Our Head of Outdoor will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers, customers and manufacturing partners.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for driving results.
- We anticipate the job holder being degree qualified with 5-10 years sales management experience in a product supply environment.

- Have demonstratable ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, resulting in revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving business outcomes.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make date-driven decisions.
- Deep understanding of distribution channels, and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit production facilities.
Reward package:
- We provide a negotiable basic salary plus a generous performance based bonus that will fully reward the success of this role.
- In addition we will provide a company car or allowance, pension, healthcare, 25 days paid holiday and all additional equipment required to perform the role.
