Area Sales Manager – The Role:

£44,000 + commission. OTE £56,000 (uncapped), hybrid / company car, healthcare, 25 days holiday. Laptop, ipad, mobile, pension.

 

The job holder will inherit an established customer base of appointed dealers that is generating annual sales of c£2million in Scotland. Our new Area Sales Manager will be tasked with:

 

  • Developing strong, long-term, profitable business partnerships with established and new dealers.
  • Identifying opportunities for growth by area, product segment and brand.
  • Planning and execute customer specific sales strategies.
  • Negotiation of trading terms and promotions that achieve margin targets.
  • Achieving agreed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Working within the team to communicate, share resources and secure support to ensure the customer experience is always exceptional.

 

Area Sales Manager – The Candidate:

  • We are looking for an experienced and high calibre Sales Representative from a garden machinery dealer, manufacturer or distributor.
  • The job holder needs to understand of the market for petrol and battery powered products across walk-behind, ride-on, handheld and robotic product segments. 

 

Additional Requirements Are:

  • Evidence of a talent for sales, influencing and relationship building.
  • A driven character that is motivated by success, achieving goals and rewards.
  • A hands-on and thorough approach that builds huge customer confidence.
  • Strong negotiation and objection handling skills.
  • First class communication and product training skills.
  • A strong team player – sociable, gregarious and communicative.
