My client is a highly regarded organisation that supplies a variety of flooring products rugs, carpet that can transform any living space.
The company provides quality, choice and availability to National Accounts within the UK within the Flooring, DIY and Commercial Interiors sector.
Main Duties:- We are looking for a National Account Manager within the Floorcoverings sector.
- You will inherit a significant customer base of national accounts to manage.
- The company has a strong and enviable brand and they need to keep evolving to remain leaders within the sector.
Specifically, You Will Be Responsible For:- Fully embrace and deliver against the company principals and core values.
- Manage large customer accounts for the company and build relationships with key personnel.
- Taking a proactive approach to account management.
- Management of existing sales and margin mix within your accounts, with a focus on business growth.
- Development and introduction of NPD to your accounts.
- Develop, agree and execute annual joint business plans to deliver the agreed business growth.
- Compilation and delivery of branded customer presentations.
- Network with national account customers at all levels in order to maximise all business opportunities.
- Works closely with the marketing team to develop promotions, POS, NPD and account strategies.
- Conduct regular store visits to better understand retailer / competitor initiatives within the market (product / price / promos / POS / location / etc).
- Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled effectively.
- Investigating and resolving account queries and issues raised on national accounts.
- Creating robust and accurate forecasting plans.
- Negotiation and securing of annual trading agreements.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Characteristics and Experience:- National account sales experience ideally within the Flooring, Commercial Interiors or DIY sector.
- Previous experience dealing with national accounts.
- Goal oriented, confident, outgoing, able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Strong organisation skills and experience of working with CRM or similar systems.
- A strong work ethic and a passion for exploring new opportunities to build business.
- Strong numerical reasoning.
