- One of the UK’s most innovative, ethical and high – quality Speciality Coffee Roasters, providing their customers with a full circle, world – class service which includes; roasting, training, equipment installation & maintenance and marketing. Their array of products includes both ground coffee or whole beans which are sold into retail, wholesale and domestic channels alike.
The role:
The position of Technical Manager is a hybrid role which will require you to spend time in both the office and out in the field, leading a team of Technicians and overseeing the maintenance of engineering systems business – wide. You will also be required to oversee the daily coordination of the adhoc engineering needs of customers as well as the scheduled service calendar on a weekly/biweekly basics for the technical team.
Specific duties will include;
- Managing the daily inflow of all regional technical enquiries, cases and repairs to be triaged from important to urgent
- Manage the database to maximise support through a proactive service schedule
- Deliver on targets set for first time fix rates and return rates
- Facilitate the scheduling of all regional planned preventative maintenance
- Responsible for the training & development of new Technicians
- Take part in regular 121’s and reviews
- Be active with working on innovation for new equipment and training the wider team in repair
The person:
In order to be considered for the position of Coffee Technical Manager, you must possess the following:
- Previous extensive coffee field service engineering experience with a focus on specialist coffee machines as opposed to vending
- Solid knowledge of the coffee industry
- An interest in moving into a hybrid role which requires you to be partly office based
- Experience/the ability to manage and develop people
- Training experience would be beneficial
- Based in or close to London
- A full UK driving license
