Job Description:
The successful will enjoy a salary to £45,000 plus 20% bonus, 4x4 vehicle, pension plan, 25 days holiday, mobile, laptop and expenses plus the support and motivation of a global business that is launching in the UK.
This is a new role, created as part of a major investment in UK growth. A new UK office, warehouse, back-office, sales team and demonstration team is being created and we seek talented and experienced individuals to drive sales into and through professional dealers. The successful candidate must have successful experience as an ASM within the professional garden machinery market and knowledge of the dealership network. Key responsibilities will include:
- Learn about this extensive range of hand-held, robotic and ride-on machines that offer high performance at sensible prices backed by lengthy product guarantees.
- Approach suitable dealers to introduce the range and opportunity.
- Set up product demonstrations and encourage dealer staff to get hands-on.
- Sign-up new stockists and agree joint business plans that offer high levels of support.
- Assist dealers with end-use presentation and demonstration events.
- Actively promote the brand at trade events.
- Make an active contribution to the team, sharing best practice and shaping the sales strategy.
- Report against targets for sales, margin and product distribution

Key Skills/Experience Required:
We are looking for an experienced and successful Area Sales Manager from within the UK garden machinery trade with strong personal relationships with the dealer network in his/her region.
The key skills and attributes we seek are:
- Located centrally to cover Wales, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and the South West of England
- Energy, drive and passion for innovative products
- An entrepreneurial spirit seeking a new challenge within a global manufacturing giant
- 5+ years of sales experience within the professional garden machinery trade
- Skilled at product demonstration, training, presentations and closing sales
- A proven negotiator who can maximise brand value
- Natural people skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels
Salary/Benefits Information:
The successful candidate will enjoy a basic salary up to £45,000 plus a performance based bonus, company vehicle and additional benefits.
