- Description
Ready to represent one of Britain's most respected premium housewares brands?
Are you currently managing independent retail accounts for a premium consumer goods, housewares or homewares business? Do you enjoy developing relationships, creating exceptional in-store experiences and helping retailers maximise sales?
We're looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to join our UK Trade team and become the face of an award-winning British brand renowned for exceptional design, craftsmanship and quality.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the field, working closely with retailers and making a genuine commercial impact.
The Opportunity
You'll inherit an established customer base whilst identifying new opportunities to grow market share across independent retailers and national trade partners.
Every day is different. One day you could be training retail staff in a flagship department store, the next securing additional display space with a garden centre or introducing exciting new collections to an independent retailer.
Your ability to build long-term relationships, create outstanding product presentation and deliver exceptional customer service will be key to your success.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and developing an established portfolio of retail customers across your territory.
- Building trusted relationships with store managers, buyers, department managers and independent business owners.
- Creating inspiring retail displays that maximise product visibility and drive sales.
- Securing additional merchandising opportunities and promotional space.
- Delivering engaging product demonstrations and staff training.
- Identifying new business opportunities and converting prospective stockists.
- Launching new collections and promotional campaigns.
- Monitoring stock availability and ensuring excellent retail execution.
- Reporting market intelligence, competitor activity and customer feedback.
- Supporting key national accounts with product launches, projects and promotional activity.
- Working closely with internal teams including sales support, marketing and customer services.
- Representing the business at trade exhibitions and customer events.
About You
You'll already understand what it takes to succeed in premium retail sales.
You may currently be working within:
- Housewares, Kitchenware, Homewares, Giftware, Cookware, Tabletop, Lifestyle products, Premium consumer goods, Garden centre suppliers or Home décor
Experience selling into retailers such as independent department stores, garden centres, cookshops and quality independent retailers would be highly advantageous.
You'll also bring:
- Previous field sales or account management experience within B2B retail.
- Outstanding relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for premium brands and exceptional customer service.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Excellent merchandising and visual presentation skills.
- Confidence delivering product training and presentations.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in individuals who genuinely care about helping retailers succeed.
You'll be someone who enjoys visiting stores, spotting opportunities others miss and taking pride in ensuring every customer experiences the brand at its very best.
You'll understand that premium products require premium service—and that strong relationships are every bit as important as achieving sales targets.
What's on Offer
- Opportunity to represent one of Britain's best-known premium housewares brands.
- Established customer portfolio with genuine opportunities for growth.
- A varied, autonomous field-based role.
- Supportive and collaborative culture.
- High-quality products you'll be proud to represent.
- Long-term career development within a successful British business.
If you're currently working within premium housewares, homewares, giftware or consumer goods and are looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today.
