A rare opportunity to inherit an established, high-quality book of Professional Indemnity business built over many years within a highly respected Bristol broker with national reach.

This is not a cold-start sales role. You'll step into longstanding client relationships, a trusted team, and a genuine succession opportunity from day one.

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading insurance and risk management adviser to the professional services sector, with an enviable reputation built on specialist knowledge and exceptional client care.

Their Professional Indemnity portfolio spans a diverse range of clients, from ambitious technology, AI and FinTech businesses through to established national accountancy practices, solicitors, architects, surveyors and recruitment consultancies.

An experienced and highly regarded colleague is transitioning after many years building this practice, and the business is now seeking the right individual to take stewardship of that client base. This is an opportunity to inherit trusted relationships, continue their development and ultimately make the specialism your own.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of an established Professional Indemnity portfolio with strong, loyal client relationships.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to clients across the professional services sector, ranging from SMEs through to large national firms.
  • Managing the full client lifecycle, including new business, policy management, mid-term adjustments and renewals.
  • Working alongside a highly experienced broking team with significant technical expertise and market knowledge.
  • Growing the portfolio through referrals, networking, relationship development and your own profile within the professional services community.
  • Establishing yourself as a recognised Professional Indemnity specialist, both locally and nationally.

The Company

This is a highly regarded independent broker with a genuine culture of support, development and work-life balance. They have a long track record of attracting talented insurance professionals and building successful long-term careers around them.

Their presence within the professional services sector is substantial, both regionally and nationally, and their reputation for client service is exceptional.

For the right individual, this role offers a clear and supported pathway to Director level, backed by genuine commitment from the senior leadership team.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within Professional Indemnity insurance.
  • A genuine interest in the professional services sector.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop opportunities.
  • Ambition to take ownership of a portfolio and continue its growth.
  • Progression towards ACII would be welcomed but is not essential. Further professional study is actively supported.

Salary and Benefits

  • Market-leading basic salary, tailored to experience.
  • Car allowance.
  • Bonus structure linked to both the inherited portfolio and new business growth.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Clear and supported route to Directorship.
