The Role:
- Taking over the management and development of a significant motor trade portfolio from a retiring Account Director.
- Building strong long term relationships with established clients across the motor trade sector.
- Leading renewal strategy, client advisory and programme development.
- Working closely with broking teams to negotiate competitive and appropriate cover with insurers.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen programmes, improve cover and deepen client relationships.
- Supporting organic growth across the existing portfolio.
- Working with internal teams to ensure consistently high service standards for clients.
- Representing the business in the local market and strengthening relationships with key insurers and introducers.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong experience as an Account Executive or Development Executive within commercial insurance
- Proven experience working with motor trade clients
- The ability to build trusted long term relationships with business owners and decision makers
- Strong insurer market knowledge within motor trade risks
- A commercial mindset and the confidence to lead client discussions and renewal strategy
- The ability to develop and grow an established portfolio over time
- CII qualifications are welcome but capability, credibility and relationship skills matter most

- Long term succession planning from a retiring Account Director
- The backing of a respected independent broker with strong insurer relationships
- A business that values expertise, relationships and long term thinking
- Competitive bonus structure and long term incentive plan
- Excellent pension and benefits package
- The autonomy to build and grow your portfolio within a supportive environment
