An established and forward-thinking insurance brokerage is seeking an Account Handler to join their commercial division based in Gloucester.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial insurance professional, or an experienced Personal Lines specialist, to step into a commercial role within a supportive, vibrant, and people-focused team.
The Role
- The Account Handler will manage a portfolio of commercial clients within the leisure sector, ensuring their insurance needs are handled efficiently and effectively.
- You’ll be responsible for renewals, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day servicing, while also building lasting relationships and identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Working closely with Account Managers and internal teams, the Account Handler will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong client retention.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial leisure clients
- Process renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and policy endorsements
- Provide professional and timely responses to client queries
- Collaborate with Account Executives and internal teams to ensure seamless service
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and stakeholders
- Identify and act upon cross-selling or new business opportunities
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar commercial account handling role or strong Personal Lines experience with the ambition to progress
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional and proactive approach to client service
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Motivation to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £35,000
