Senior Account Handler – Schemes Insurance

The Opportunity:

• Based in their Croydon office, with flexible hybrid working, this position is ideal for a proven Schemes Account Handler with previous experience leading a team.
• As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and supporting the team to achieve individual and collective targets, while maintaining a positive and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, support, and inspire a team to exceed performance targets including income growth, retention, and conversion.
• Deliver regular coaching and development sessions to drive individual and team performance.
• Produce accurate and insightful management reports covering sales, retention, source of business, and conversion data.
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies and procedures, including required authorisations.
• Handle escalated client issues and complaints in collaboration with the compliance team.
• Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in Schemes Insurance, gained within either broking or underwriting.
• Prior experience leading or supervising a team.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
• High level of commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
• Minimum Cert CII qualification (or equivalent).

• Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
