STIHL manufactures and distributes innovative power tools and garden machinery from chainsaw design to robotic technology. STIHL products are used by professionals in forestry, agriculture, landscaping and construction as well as domestic users.
The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic Commercial Sales Consultant to join our expanding Commercial Solutions team.
In this role you will support our dealer network in the South of the UK by working with large end users and local authorities, providing the information, product demonstrations and training that will stimulate market demand. This is a hands-on role, working closely with our team of Area Sales Managers.
Your role will include:
- Support the strategy to develop battery business within the large pro end users in the region.
- Carry out demonstrations with STIHL products, to dealers, prospects, large end users and local authorities.
- Participate in trade and regional shows to promote STIHL product solutions
- Develop detailed knowledge of battery product range/understand the training requirements.
- Support sales growth in parts and accessories with the pro large end users
- Maintain records using sales management system.
The Person:
We are looking for a hardworking, passionate and adaptable individual with fantastic communication skills who can sell, train, educate and support our customers. Key requirements include:
- Driving licence and willingness to travel with nights away
- Confident presenter, with the ability to communicate effectively
- Experience of retail management in grocery, garden or DIY
- Previous experience of working in retail, events or marketing
- sed close to Hampshire, Berkshire or Surrey and able to travel extensively
- A passion for customer service and a proven ability to problem solve
- Experience of STIHL products and working in the garden machinery or power tool industry would be advantageous
- Effective time management and planning
- Self-motivated and target-oriented
- MS Office skills and competent in the use of business systems
