Description
A successful, friendly and fast-growing pet food supplier and UK distributor of some of the world’s best known pet food brands.
 
The role:                                                                                
Due to success and growth, the business are now looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller to work as part of the data finance team.  You will be responsible for producing reports, managing inventory, assisting with stock forecasting and control, month end tasks including inventory reconciliation and assisting with monthly management accounts.
 
Duties will be varied and will include;
  • Inventory management and demand planning
  • Analysis of data
  • Stock reconciliation, monitoring, forecasting and planning
  • Collating data from different sources and creating reports
  • Producing graphs and reports for presentations
  • Supporting the Finance Director with the management of the external audit through the preparation of stock report, explanations and reconciliations
  • Continuously look for process improvements, presenting ideas to make the management accounting function more efficient
 
The person:
In order to be considered for the position of Stock Controller, you must possess the following:
  • Previous experience of managing stock and inventory for an FMCG/wholesale business
  • Effective analytical skills and experience of using ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel Skills including Vlookup, Formulas, Pivot Tables, Charting etc.
  • The ability to combine data and information from different sources
  • An inquisitive mind and a proactive attitude to problem solving
  • Knowledge of macros would be useful
  • Good PowerPoint and MS Word skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • Previous import, FMCG/wholesale experience
