About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional administrator to step into a role that can offer lots of training and progression within a growing company. A great way to break into the insurance industry and develop a long-term career.
The overall purpose of the role is to support a team of Underwriters and ensure an excellent level of service and communication, whilst developing into a full underwriter with training.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist Underwriters
- Communicate and build relationships with Brokers
- Retrieve data for Underwriters as requested
- Deal with incoming quotation enquiries
- Maintain underwriting documentation
- Process new business and renewals
- Data entry
- Develop underwriting knowledge
- Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Some personal lines or commercial insurance experience desirable
- Computer literate
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Proactive
- Organisation skills
- An appetite for achievement and building a career within the insurance market
Salary/Benefits Information:
- A generous salary dependent on experience up to £30,000 p.a (DOE)
