- Our client is a leading Marine Insurance Broker in the UK, with a reputation for providing best in class service to their clients, and a supportive working environment to their team. As a Marine Insurance Broker, you will play a crucial role in connecting clients with appropriate marine insurance products to protect their assets and operations. You will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, researching available insurance options, and negotiating terms with insurance providers.
The ideal candidate must have a passion for insurance, along with a love of all things marine, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Salary:
£50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience + Uncapped Bonus + Benefits including:- generous pension contribution,
- remote or hybrid working,
- A training and development plan from day 1.
- Away days and international travel (both for business and fun)
Responsibilities:
Client Assessment:- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' marine insurance needs, considering factors such as the type of vessels, cargo, geographical locations, and specific industry risks.
Market Research:- Stay informed about current trends, regulations, and developments in the marine insurance market.
- Research and analyse available insurance products from various providers to identify the most suitable options for clients.
Policy Recommendations:- Provide expert advice to clients on the appropriate marine insurance policies to mitigate risks and ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Customize insurance solutions to meet the unique needs of individual clients.
Negotiation:- Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance underwriters to secure the best coverage and pricing for clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance providers to facilitate efficient and effective negotiations.
Documentation and Compliance:- Prepare and review insurance documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure adherence in all transactions.
Client Communication:- Communicate effectively with clients to explain insurance options, terms, and conditions.
- Provide ongoing support and address client inquiries or concerns throughout the insurance process.
Risk Management:- Collaborate with clients to assess and manage risks, offering proactive solutions to enhance their overall risk management strategies.
Market Intelligence:- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks to provide proactive advice to clients and stay ahead of potential challenges.
Qualifications:- Experience as Marine insurance broker is desirable (not essential)
- A love for “all things marine” is essential, as is insurance knowledge.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
