Description
A successful, friendly and fast-growing pet food supplier and UK distributor of some of the world’s best known pet food brands.
 
The Role:            
Due to success and growth, the business are now looking to recruit an experienced finance professional to work alongside the Managing Director and Finance Director focussing on both inventory and demand planning as well as assisting with management accounts.
 
Duties Will Be Varied and Will Include:
  • Responsible for producing rand analysing reports relating to stock/demand planning.
  • Managing inventory and inventory reconciliation.
  • Stock forecasting, planning and control.
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts.
  • Creating reports and graphs for presentations.
  • Pricing.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations – resolving reconciling items on a monthly basis.
  • Highlight risks or opportunities.
  • Work with the commercial finance team on budgets and forecasts for the trading channels.
  • Support the Finance Director with preparation of audit schedules etc.
 
The Person:
In order to be considered for the position of Finance and Stock Manager, you must possess the following:
  • An accountancy related qualification such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA is preferred.
  • Experience of working within an FMCG company.
  • Management accounts knowledge/experience would be ideal.
  • Stock management experience would be an advantage.
  • An inquisitive mind and proactive attitude.
  • Able to travel to Reigate and be office based on a daily basis.
  • Data analysis experience using ERP systems.
  • The ability to work with complex data sets in Microsoft Excel and combine data from different sources.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Vlookup, Formulas, Pivot Tables, Charting etc.
  • Import/wholesale experience.
