Job Title – Merchandise Controller

Location – Based Worcester – some hybrid working

Sector – Housewares/Homewares

Salary – £30000-£35000

We are looking for an experienced, commercial professional to take ownership of this newly created role and set up the merchandising function for the UK and European branded and private label ranges.

You will need to demonstrate successful application of appropriate forecasting and monitoring techniques along with examples of driving service and cost improvements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with our sales and operations teams to analyse historic sales data, customer forecasts and seasonal promotion plans to create demand forecasts.
• Take ownership of delivering line fill targets and driving stock turn
• Partner our retail customers to optimise forecast accuracy and minimise end of line / discontinued stocks

• Identify risks and commercial opportunities within the inventory
• Manage relationships with forwarders
• Track shipments and proactively reduce lead times
• Audit stock anomalies

 

You will be an experienced merchandise executive with experience of Far East trading and private/own label.

 

You will be a skilled forecaster and used to tracking merchandise sales against customer levels.
