Junior Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Within the Energy Efficiency division, you will contribute to the company’s energy consultancy services, identifying, evaluating and developing energy saving opportunities in their clients’ operations.
  • You will undertake calculations, analysis and report writing, and support client site energy surveys.
  • This work will be undertaken in collaboration with experienced consultants, using existing calculation and reporting tools and templates, as well as contributing to the development of new tools/templates.
  • This graduate role will include experience and training to support the achievement of chartered engineer status.
Typical Duties
  • Analysis, benchmarking and disaggregation of the energy consumption of client sites
  • Obtaining and evaluating technical data on energy consuming equipment
  • Energy saving calculations for standard efficiency measures
  • Drafting reports
  • Accompanied surveys of client sites
  • Supporting the development of calculation tools and templates for energy consultancy
Key Skills/Experience Required:
  • Time management
  • Communication skills

  • Clear written English
Technical Principles
  • Properties of fluids – density, flow, heat capacity, pressure
  • Heat transfer – U-values, conductivity
  • Energy – thermodynamics, efficiency
  • Basic electrical principles (voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance)
  • Control principles (e.g. feedback, set points, stability)
