Job Description:
  • Day to day guidance to managers and employees, and ensuring managers understand the implications of decisions made.
  • Providing expert guidance, advice and support on managing employee relations issues.
  • Keeping an overview on cases and supporting where necessary.
  • Creating and updating company policies and procedures to ensure these are in line with the legislation and needs of the business.
  • Protecting the business by ensuring processes followed are fair and consistent.
  • Attendance as HR representative at meetings when appropriate.
  • Delegating to, coaching, supporting and monitoring other members of the team if they become involved in case work.
  • Lead in process such as TUPE where appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver key HR initiatives across the business, such as Health and Wellbeing.
  • Supporting absence management.
  • Working with the Head of HR on any projects such as restructuring.
  • Monitoring changes in legalisation etc for impact on polices or handbook.
 
About the Company:
  • Supporting the Head of HR with any HR issues across the business, working within the Central Services Team based in the head office in Bristol.
  • The team are responsible for company-wide HR, insurance, training, fleet and H&S administration.
  • Provide practical and effective HR generalist advice to all employees and support the delivery of the HR strategy.
 
Key Skills/Experience Required:
  • Extensive HR experience working within a HR environment, preferably with HR Advisor or similar experience.
  • Experience of change management, for example redundancy and TUPE.
  • CIPD Qualified at level 7 or working towards.
  • Experience of managing a complex and demanding workload.
  • Ability to make well informed decisions based on all available relevant information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Good written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced IT skills.
 
Salary/Benefits Information:
  • £30,000 - £35,000
