Responsible for functional management of the production worker team.
  • Holidays and manning planning.
  • Return to work.
  • 1 :1 with team members.
  • Identify and action development needs for high performance team members.
  • Identify and participate in the performance management of underperforming team members.
  • Managing and planning the training to ensure cross training targets are maintained.
  • Identify non-compliant situations and behaviours.
  • Animate SIM cycle 1, ensuring team participation and that quality information is provided to SIM 2.
  • Aligns team improvement activity to the business strategy.
  • 70% + of time off of the tools.
Health and Safety + 5S.
  • Near miss reporting.
  • Risk assessments.
  • COSHH assessments.
  • H&S committee - attendance and participation by rota.
  • Accident Reporting / first level investigations.
  • 5S audits and action plans.
Drive the actions to get service level, quality products, WIP and ensure productivity goals are reached.
  • Takt time planning.
  • Line balancing.
  • Live tracking of performance against plan and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Standard work ownership.
  • Kaizen – identification and leadership.
  • A3 - Identification and leadership.
  • Maintenance Issue Reporting
Line / Cell Quality
  • Management of non-conforming product on the line.
  • Manage the quality of products produced in the area, ensuring that control checks and
  • necessary actions are completed.
  • Implement customer complaint containment actions.
  • Participate in the introduction of process changes and ensure all operators are correctly trained.
  • Conduct layered audits.
  • Participate in PFMEA's.
Salary/Benefits Information:
  • £30,000 - £35,000
  • Flexible benefits package including 28 days holidays plus STATS
